Two road construction projects set to go in Vernon Monday

Crews will be out at two locations doing road repair and rehabilitation work starting Monday, July 11.

A section of 25th Ave between 43rd St. and 27th Ave will be repaved starting Monday,

Two-lane traffic will be maintained though some short delays should be expected, and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Additionally, road rehabilitation work is set to begin as early as 7 a.m. Monday on Tronson Rd.

Tronson will be closed to through traffic and only accessible to local traffic. All other traffic will be detoured along Lakeshore Rd.

Both these projects are expected to be complete by the end of Friday, July 15.

The City of Vernon reminds motorists to slow down in work zones, to follow all traffic control measures, and be cautious of workers.
