Enderby activates emergency centre as river rises
The City of Enderby has activated its Emergency Operations Centre to Level 1 as it starts to see some localized flooding with more rain in the forecast.
The centre is monitoring levels on the Shuswap River and encourages residents who may live in flood-prone areas to take measures to protect their property.
The city has closed Tuey Park which is submerged in water.
As of today, June 13, at the upstream hydrometric gauge, the Shuswap River water height is 4.35 m (14.27 feet) with a discharge rate of 370 m3/s.
