It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Alexander Thachuk on May 12, 2022. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta on January 25, 1944 where he lived and worked until he retired to the Okanagan.
He enjoyed all outdoor activities and various sports with Hunting, Fishing and Golfing at the top of the list.
Larry loved being a Thachuk and being one of “the brothers”. He is 1 of 7 boys and he is survived by his brothers Robert, Lindsay, Daryll, Terry and his half sister Shelley. He is also survived by his wife of over 50 years Carole, his daughters Lara (Jason), Carla (Matt), Terryn (Graeme) and his grandchildren (who he probably loved the most) Tyler, Narayan, Bodhi, Knit and Coh.
Larry and his wife Carole had recently moved to Carrington, and he said he hadn’t been that happy in a long time. He loved getting to know new people and was enjoying all that this new phase of his life had to offer. He had taken to racing up and down the hallways in his new electric wheelchair.
In respect of his wishes, there will be no funeral or service.
And know that if there is a Hellcat in Heaven – he’s driving it!
