Mar 20, 2022 | 7:00 AM

The Vernon Vipers fired dozens of shots on net in their 4-1 win over the Merritt Centennials Saturday night, but it was a shot on goal during one of the intermissions that also had the fans buzzing

Daryll Antonishak was the contestant in a shot on goal to win a $10,000 bar tab as part of a promotion by The Rosters Sports Club Bar and Grill.

Antonishak shot from centre ice and missed the target, but got a great consolation prize of free wings every week for 12 weeks and a free squash lesson at The Roster.

Zack Tonelli, son of former NHL great John Tonelli, led the Vipers with a goal and one assist for first star honours while Cam MacDonald also had a goal and one helper.

The Vipers outshot the Cents 46-26 before a crowd of 1,977 on Beach Radio Night at Kal Tire Place.
