Veterans lead Vipers to win over Centennials
Cam MacDonald scored two goals and JoJo Tanaka-Campbell added two assists to lead the Vernon Vipers over the Merritt Centennials 4-1 Wednesday night in Merritt.
Ben Ward was the only Centennial to beat Vernon goalie Roan Clarke who made 26 saves while Vernon fired 40 shots on Jackson Baker of the last place Cents who suffered their 42nd loss in 49 games this season.
The attendance at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena was recorded as 213.
The Vipers improved to 25-19-4-3 and still in sixth place in the Interior Division, 2 points back of the fifth place Cranbrook Bucks. The Vipers have three games left in their BCHL regular season.
