Local biathlete named to Canada’s world junior team

After a competitive trials event at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Club, Biathlon Canada announced its team of athletes, coaches, and technicians who are competing at the World Youth Junior Biathlon Championships.

The competition started on Feb. 23 and ends on March 2, in Soldier Hallow, Utah, the site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Molly Caldwell, who trains at Sovereign Lake, was chosen as an alternate for the team.
