Vipers sweep Showcase games

The Vernon Vipers used the BCHL’s Showcase to showcase their potential.

Jason McKee and his Vipers won both their games at the college and pro scout extravaganza in Chilliwack, 4-1 over the host Chilliwack Chiefs Saturday, and 3-0 over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in a Sunday morning game.

Ethan David, a Vancouver native, made 25 saves in the Vernon net for the shutout in his first BCHL game.

Cam MacDonald scored two goals and added an assist for the Snakes who improved to 3 wins and 2 losses on the season.

The Vipers next play Thursday in Victoria against the Grizzlies, start of a three-game Island road trip.

Vipers shine at Showcase Oct. 24, 2021

The host team was no match for the Vernon Vipers at the BCHL Showcase.

Second period goals from Luke Buss, Reagan Milburn and Zack Tonelli powered Vernon to a 4-1 win over the Chilliwack Chiefs at the Chilliwack Coliseum Saturday night.

Cam MacDonald had the other goal for Vernon who improved to 2 wins and 2 losses on the young season.

The Vipers conclude play at the Showcase by taking on the Alberni Valley Bulldogs this morning at 11:00 a.m with the game on Beach Radio/Vernon Matters at 10:45 with Graham Turnbull.
