Vipers open BCHL preseason with loss to Silverbacks

The Vernon Vipers opened their BCHL preseason at Kal Tire Place Tuesday night with a 4-1 loss to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Columbus Ohio product Luke Buss scored Vernon’s lone goal while Lynden Hanvold had 3 assists for the Silverbacks.

Ethan David of Vancouver went the distance in the Vernon net, making 22 saves.

The attendance was not listed on the game sheet but teams are allowed to have 50 per cent capacity in their buildings.

The Vipers next play Friday in Penticton.
