It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of William(Bill) Andrew Horsman of Vernon BC on June 17, 2021, at the age of 76 years.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 10 years Sharon McMurray, his children Paul, Kim, Tammy(Bert) Irons, his grandchildren Tai-Lee, Braedon, Christopher, Joshua, Taylor, Nicolette, Jordan, Raelynn, his great grandchildren Payton, Paxton, Jayce, and Noah, adopted children Chris, Tracy and children, Bradley, Sharon’s children Trina (Bryce), Dale (Joyce), Kim (David) and all their children, siblings Shirley (Russ) Dickson, Larry (Laura), Rolly (Lila), Joyce (Brian) Rawn, Linda (Wayne) Cornelius, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bills is predeceased by his parents Lorraine(’85) and Andrew Horsman'(83), sister Beverly (’10), brother Ken (’13).
Bill was born in September of 1944 in Alliston Ontario. He was one of eight children in the family and said to be the most adventurous of them all.
Bill spent his early years helping on the family farm, but in 1977 he set his sights on the West and moved his first wife and their 3 kids to Alberta. While there, Bill started his new life as a heavy-duty mechanic, he quickly realized his passion was for long haul trucking. Bill married for a second time and adopted his wife’s 3 children, however that ended, and Bill moved to the USA where he met the woman he would happily spend the rest of his life with.
When he wasn’t on the road driving truck, Bill enjoyed spending his time with family and friends, camping, or tinkering in his workshop or around the house and yard. He was always quick to fix anything for anybody. When Bill ‘retired’ (meaning he stopped trucking), he took on two jobs to fill his newly found free time. He did not know the meaning of rest or relaxation!!
