Coldstream upgrading park facilities

There are plans for upgrades to Coldstream Park starting this fall, including a full upgrade of the washroom facilities and building.

Work on the washrooms wouldn’t start until after the summer season.

Due to spring flooding issues on Coldstream Creek through the park, the district is also looking at moving the playground equipment to higher ground.

Coldstream Park is located off Kalamalka Road, just south of Coldstream Elementary School.

Staff are also assessing the playground in Lavington Community Park and exploring options to add more toddler specific play equipment.

At Creekside Park, located off Kidston Road, the irrigation system is undergoing a complete upgrade, with work to start in the fall.

The project is budgeted for $450,000 to cover the playing fields and possibly the dog park.

The playground projects will begin in early to mid summer and continue through to early fall.
