Shelly Marie La Belle

It is with profound sadness that the family of Shelly Marie Labelle announce her passing after a brief battle with cancer on March 29, 2021 in Vernon, BC.
Shelly was born on October 21, 1950 in Emo, Ontario. She graduated from Fort Frances High School in 1968 and went to nursing school at Mckellar General School of Nursing. After graduation Shelly worked at the Mckellar Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario and La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances Ontario. Shelly and her family moved to Vernon, BC where she worked for the Health Unit and eventually opened Country Charm, a private senior care home.
Shelly is survived by her daughters, Dahnis Forsyth and Enaunda Germaniuk. Two grandsons Cameron Hyatt and Davis Antonishak. Three brothers, Rocky (Cheryl), Kevin, and Conrad (Wanda) numerous nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. She is predeceased by the love of her life Allan Thompson, and her parents Doug and Lois Labelle.
Many thanks to the Hospice House and the friends and family that helped and supported us for the past few months.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
