HURLEY, Robert "Bob" Cole

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Cole Hurley at the age of 65 after a short battle with cancer.

Bob is going to be greatly missed by his wife Laura Lee, children Nicholas (Raychel), Thomas, Makayla (Tristan), his mother Helen, sister Norma, brother Ken and grandchildren Freya and Riley.

He was predeceased by his father Robert and brother Glenn. Bob also will be mourned by many other extended family members, friends and colleagues.

Born and raised in Burnaby, Bob spent many years in the Fraser Valley area before moving his family to the Okanagan in 2016. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed his farm, his horses, hunting trips, camping, boating and mining.

The true joy in his life were his two granddaughters. Papa loved teaching little Freya to Stomp and envisioned her one day to be a great fiddle player! Four-month-old Riley would melt his heart with her infectious smile.

Due to Covid restrictions, the Celebration of Life is limited to a small gathering of family members who will lay him to rest. In lieu of flowers it would be greatly appreciated by the family if a donation is made in the name of Robert Cole Hurley to the BC Cancer Foundation.
