The world lost a bit of its colour with the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and friend Lynn Klein, 68 of Vernon BC, suddenly at home on April 16, 2021.
Lynn was a firecracker and lived her life large and passionately. With a personality that filled a room, Lynn could make you laugh or make you cry through her epic tales and stories about her young years, working for the RCMP and her volunteer work with the Calgary Olympics.
John and Lynn met in Vernon, BC before moving to Fort St. John, BC. They lived there for just shy of a decade, then moved to Beaverlodge, AB for another 9 years. Afterwards, the family moved to Redwater, AB, where they stayed until both Brian and Cora graduated high school. In 1997, Lynn and John moved to Grande Prairie where they stayed until 2006. Coming full circle, they chose to spend their retirement years in Vernon.
Lynn had an affinity and knowledge for flowers, shopping, diamonds, and anytime you visited, she would be up for a trip to the mall. She indulged her passion for the arts, soap operas, country music and Elvis unapologetically.
She had an innate ability to turn strangers into friends, and friends into family. After returning to Vernon after years in Grande Prairie, AB, she remained close to her neighbours old and new.
The only thing greater than Lynn’s zest and love for life was the love for her family. Her husband, John was truly the great love of her life and their marriage was a love story for the ages. She beamed with pride whenever she talked about her children and was so happy to be a grandma to her precious granddaughters.
Lynn leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, her father, Frank, her husband of 49 years, John, son Brian (Suzanne) her granddaughters Morgan and Meredith, daughter Cora (Jade), and dog Sophie along with extended family and friends. She will be missed at the neighbourhood Miller hour!
Due to COVID restrictions, the family will celebrate Lynn’s legacy at a later date. Lynn supported charities for women and children and would appreciate any donations made to your local women’s shelter or children’s charities.
