1934 – 2021
We are saddened to announce the passing of John (Jack) Mountenay on January 29, 2021 in Vernon, B.C. after a battle with COVID-19.
Jack was born on March 21st 1934 to Cynthia and John Mountenay in Regina, Saskatchewan where he grew up. In 1974 Jack moved to Vernon, B.C.
Jack was a “jack of all trades” who loved to tinker and putter in his shop. He was an easy-going man who loved to tease the girls, have coffee with his friends, and spin a tale.
He is predeceased by his wife, Rose, his parents, Cynthia and John, and brothers Donald and Raymond.
Jack will be dearly missed by his sisters-in-law Donna Mountenay and Svea Mountenay, Nephew Trent (Helga) Mountenay, sister Joyce Orton, as well as many other nieces and nephews throughout Canada and the US.
We would like to send our thanks to the staff at Heritage Square. His last year was spent happily teasing the staff and enjoying the wonderful food and care he received.
As a family who has felt the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic first-hand, we implore you to follow all COVID-19 guidelines in place.
