Diane passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 4, 2021 at Vernon Jubilee hospital. Diane was born on August 31st in Edmonton Alberta
Diane was a polished business women and owner of Silver Star insurance company for many years in Alberta and Vernon. She had an amazing drive and hard work ethic and strong determination for success.
Diane and her boys shared countless adventures over the years camping, boating and travelling to Mexico, Disneyland, Vegas and more. She enjoyed spending time at her cabins on Kalamalka and Mabel Lake.
She loved good times with friends and family on the beach with a cold glass of wine in her hand and her toes in the sand.
As a nurturing grandmother she cherished time she spent with her beloved grandchildren taking them on outings as often as she could.
Diane was a phenomenal gardener. One of her special plants even won first prize in a flower arrangement at the Armstrong Fairgrounds….. only to make front page of the Vernon news the next day after it was confiscated by the RCMP!!!! Her neighbour had unknowingly picked some greenery and used it in her bouquet she entered at the fair (illegal back then).
Diane had many friends’ young and old who loved her dearly. She was always ready to lend a helping hand of give some good advice or share a glass of wine and a good visit. We will always remember Diane doting over her devoted little sidekicks, “Taco and Lucky”. Her enormous presence will surely be missed by her family and friends.
Diane was predeceased by her parents, her sister Val, brother Denis and brother in law Bill Holland. Diane leaves behind her sons Harley Holland and Ryan Holland along with her grandchildren Caleb Holland, Dacota Holland and Lynkin Holland, also sisters Linda Darlene Sandy and brother Bruce Adams.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Diane to the charity of their choice.
