Snowfall warning ended
Environment Canada has rescinded a snowfall warning for the Okanagan Connector, Central and South Okanagan, and a special weather statement for the entire Okanagan Valley has ended.
The national forecast agency issued the statement and warnings ahead of this morning’s snowfall which blanketed much of the Okanagan and made driving tricky, with several crashes reported due to road conditions.
City and highway officials put out a public plea for motorists to slow down and drive to conditions.
Plowing and sanding crews were out in force with plenty of notice in advance of the early storm. Last year the first snow didn’t hit until Nov. 12.
