On July 7, 2020, at the age of 91, our mother Sophia (Suzie) Leeson finally got her wish to pass away peacefully in her sleep, and did so at Hospice in Vernon, BC.

Sophie was predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Leeson in 1972.

Sophie is survived by her son Lorne Leeson, (Linda) and her twin daughters Lana Leeson (Steven Champion)) and Linda Leeson (Scott Anderson). As well, there are grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sophie was born in Spallumcheen in 1929.

Family wishes to thank the Second Floor (Medical) staff at VJH, and the staff at Hospice for their incredible compassionate care. Your kind and gentle nursing made it possible for Sophie and ultimately her family to have peace.

As per Sophie’s adamant wishes there will be no service. Cremation occurred.
