Lowell was born on February 1, 1941 in Summerland, BC and spent his early years growing up
in Summerland. He received his Laboratory Technologist training in Kamloops and continued
his career in Williams Lake, Penticton and ultimately in Vernon where he was the Chief

hospital he worked as a coroner for several years.
Lowell was a dedicated husband and father first and foremost. He treasured his children and
embraced every moment with them. He especially loved his role as grandpa. He was known
for his kind and compassionate spirit, warm smile and positivity and always a helping hand and
always had anything you needed to borrow. He spent many years singing barbershop in a
quartet (The Marksmen), he and his wife were members of the Vernon amateur radio club with
ham radio and were very involved in events throughout the valley, supporting his wife with dog
agility, was an avid downhill skier, enjoyed camping, fishing and his annual trip to Mexico. He
was a patient teacher when it came to teaching his wife, children and grandchildren his passion
for downhill skiing.
He loved the time he spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed and forever in our
hearts.
