1934 – 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Katie (Kay) Clauson (nee Maksymiw). Kay was received into the arms of Jesus on April 29, 2020. She was born on May 26, 1934 in Hazel Dell Sask. and moved to Vernon in 1946. On April 28, 1954 Kay married her adoring husband Neil Clauson and enjoyed 66 years together. In her younger years Kay enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, snowmobiling and boating with her family. In later years she found much enjoyment in reading and doting on their dog Patches. Kay always put her families needs before hers and was a loyal and trusted friend. She will be greatly missed.
Kay was predeceased by her parents Bill (1984) and Mary (2012), sister Bell (1963), brother John (1997) and son Brian (2015).
Kay is survived by her husband Neil, son Wayne (Marjorie), daughter-in-law’s Dorothy, Lorraine and JoAnne, sister Polly (Vern) Thomas, brother Joe (Linda) Maksymiw, grandchildren Anthony (Victoria), Julia, Heather (Fabian) Bonjean, Mark, Brendan (Kristen), Nicole and Kelsey and great grandchild Aiden Bonjean.
