The NexusBC Community Resource Centre is offering free tax clinics for low income seniors 60 and over.

If you are a senior with a single income of up to $30,000 or a couple with a combined income up to $40,000, then you may be eligible “for this free volunteer operated service. The clinic will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays afternoons from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at NexusBC located at 102-3201 30th Street in Vernon from March 3 through to April 16, 2020.

“NexusBC Community Resource Centre prides itself on its service to the community and although we do not receive funding for coordinating this clinic, this is a vital service to low income seniors and therefore we are passionate about providing this great program,” said Kelly Johnson, Executive Director of NexusBC.

NexusBC has been offering the tax clinic for many years, however this is the first time it will be offered at the NexusBC offices in Vernon. The clinic is provided by CRS-trained volunteers and last year over 850 low income seniors had their taxes completed through this program.
