Jane de Wit, age 66, entered her heavenly home on November 24, 2019 after suffering a stroke.
Jane was born in Carman, Manitoba to her loving parents, Cornelis and (late) Trientje de Wit on January 9, 1953. Jane is survived by her father and his wife, seven sisters, five children, and twelve grandchildren.
Jane’s dedication to God and her trust in His grace was foremost in her life. She held firm in Psalm 28:7, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.”
She also loved and embraced her role as mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her children, Natasha Ten Brinke, Colin Tiggelaar, Bryon Tiggelaar, Melissa Macauley, Monica Beardsell and their families.
Jane’s empathy, generosity, and kindness for others was evident in the many lives that she touched. She had a lot of room in her heart for others. She was one of the strongest women you met. Her life was full of ups and downs, but her trust in God and love toward others never faltered.
Jane’s Celebration of Life will be on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Valley Church of God (6161 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon, BC). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada at www.diabetes.ca/donate.
