It’s Cram the Cruiser time again in Armstrong.

Police officers from around the North Okanagan will take part in the fourth annual event to help the local food bank this Friday at Memorial Park.

Residents and visitors are invited to attend the event at 6 p.m where donated items will be crammed into a police cruiser.

“Beginning at 6 p.m, residents and visitors are invited to ‘Cram the Cruiser’ with donations of non-perishable items which include: food, laundry and dish soap, feminine hygiene products, and other toiletries,” an RCMP news release from Cpl. Tania Finn said.

“Armstrong has a strong sense of community with neighbours helping each other out,” Sgt. Justin Thiessen, Rural Commander for the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP said. “We have participated in this event since it started, and I am always impressed with how generous people can be.”
