Soul Sistah is an eclectic, Okanagan based combination of female entertainers stemming from a variety of musical backgrounds.
Regulars: Monica Tracy (Moni Funk) – Keyboards and Vocals, Ellie Young (Porch Pickers) – upright bass and vocals and Wendy Aronyk (Chipco Jones) – flute, percussion and vocals are joined by special guest, Kelowna rocke,r Heather Ormiston.
Together they combine Blues, Funk, Rock and Country into a unique fusion of upbeat performances. One of their main ideas for the band is the beautiful 3 and 4 part harmonies they achieve.
A unique feature of the group is their open-ended policy of embracing all female musicians, which often leads to various combinations of added instrumentation. Join the Sistahs at Lorenzos Café where they’ll be performing danceable tunes from artists such as Jethtro Tull, Pointer Sisters, Four Non Blonds, CCR, Etta James and oh so much more!
