Vernon Comic Con returns with comic creator guests
Comic book fans, anime enthusiasts, and gamers of all type will have a chance to explore their interests with the return of Vernon Comic Con.
The convention will go at the Vernon Recreation Centre Saturday, May 2.
Organizers said there would be two special guests at Vernon Comic Con this year: James Lloyd, creator of the Futurama and Simpsons Crossover comics, as well as Richard Comley, creator and artist of Captain Canuck.
The event will also celebrate everything fandom, with toys, cards, collectables and other items on sale from local vendors; a Cosplay showcase; free comics (while supplies last courtesy of Ebenezer’s); card grading; a screening of a Sider-Man fan film; a pinball arcade; game and sports card trading opportunities; a zombie photo op area with film props; photo opportunities with 501st Legion (Star Wars) and the Okanagan Ghostbusters; and DJ Lunchboxx spinning fun music throughout the day.
