Bestiality charge laid in horse assault case

A bestiality charge has been laid in a case involving an assault of a horse at a rural Vernon property.

The B.C. Prosecution Service confirmed Seth Christian was facing the charge stemming from an incident that happened at a local equestrian centre in January. A person was arrested in connection with that case but later released pending further investigation.

Christian had an initial appearance in Vernon court Thursday, March 26.

He will be due back in court for a scheduling appearance with a judicial case manager on March 30.
