The B.C. Wildfire Service said it will be collecting and burning roughly 100 piles of fire fuels from the area.
This work will allow for the disposal of fire fuels, including burnt, damaged and felled trees, as well as provide training opportunities for wildfire ground crews.
The pile burning could begin Wednesday, March 25, weather and site conditions permitting. The burning will continue in the following days as long as conditions remain suitable for smoke dispersal.
