VANCOUVER — Two suspects have been arrested after an alleged home invasion and kidnapping in Vancouver that was interrupted by police.

Vancouver police say the attack happened Wednesday night.

Police say a 62-year-old man was taken from an East Vancouver home and forced into the suspects’ vehicle, which was then spotted about 30 minutes after the call for help near Slocan and East Broadway.

The vehicle fled from police but officers later managed to box in the getaway car.

Police say the suspects tried to get away on foot but were chased down with help from the police dog unit.

The victim has been hospitalized with unspecified injuries, while the suspects, aged 24 and 26, face kidnapping charges.
