Canada’s Einarson defeats South Korea 8-3 at women’s world curling championship

CALGARY — Kerri Einarson’s curling team has defeated South Korea 8-3 at the women’s world curling championship.

Canada improved to 8-1 and was to face Norway later in the day at Winsport Event Centre.

The top six teams at the conclusion of pool play Friday advance to playoffs.

The top two gain direct entry into Saturday’s semifinals.
