New York Rangers forward Lafrenière named NHL first star of the week

NEW YORK — New York Rangers forward Alexis Lafrenière was named NHL first star of the week on Monday.
He led all NHL players with seven points (five goals, two assists) last week. Lafrenière had two game-winning goals to help the Rangers win all four games over the stretch.
Dallas Stars goalie Jake Oettinger was the second star. He was 3-0-0 last week with a 1.65 goals-against average and .940 save percentage.
St. Louis Blues forward Jimmy Snuggerud took the third star. He had six points (3-3) over four games last week.
