A large-scale drug trafficking investigation by RCMP in the Okanagan has resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of drugs, cash and firearms.

Federal Policing Pacific Region officers began investigating suspected drug trafficking activity in the Southeast District in 2024.

Police said search warrants were executed Dec. 17, 2025 with assistance from RCMP detachments in Kelowna, West Kelowna and Penticton, along with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia and the Emergency Response Team.

Investigators searched two vehicles and three homes in Kelowna and Penticton.

RCMP said officers seized 29 kilograms of methamphetamine, 18 kilograms of cocaine, four kilograms of fentanyl, about 8,500 Xanax pills and 50.5 litres of suspected GHB.

Police also recovered about $240,000 in cash, smaller amounts of other drugs, five cartons of unstamped tobacco, a stolen rifle and a prohibited handgun.

Four people were arrested and later released pending further investigation.

Staff Sgt. Trent Marshall, acting officer in charge of the Drugs and Organized Crime unit in Kelowna, said the operation significantly disrupted organized crime activity in the region.

“This enforcement action represents a significant disruption to an organized crime group trafficking illicit drugs in the Southeast District, removing a significant quantity of dangerous drugs and firearms from our communities,” Marshall said in a statement.

RCMP said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
