Roundabout build in Rutland

A busy Rutland road is about to be shut down for nearly three months.

The City of Kelowna said Rutland Road South will close between Gemini Road and Springfield Road starting Tuesday for the construction of a new roundabout.

Springfield Road will stay open, but drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The city said the project will improve safety, reduce collisions, and help handle growing traffic in the area.
