Kelowna seeks artists to create installations for 2026 Memorial Cup
Kelowna is calling on local artists to help celebrate the 2026 Memorial Cup, Canada’s premier junior hockey championship, running May 21 to 31.
The Memorial Cup Host Committee, in partnership with the city, is inviting proposals for immersive public art installations that capture the energy of the tournament.
Selected artists will receive up to $2,000 to support their projects. Installations will be displayed in high-traffic outdoor public spaces downtown, creating interactive, photo-friendly experiences that engage fans and showcase the city’s creative community.
Sara Thirnbeck, community development coordinator for cultural services, says art plays a key role in major events, connecting people to both sport and the city.
