Low-rise for former church site in Pandosy neighbourhood

A vacant high-visibility lot on Lakeshore Rd. in Kelowna is set for its new chapter after city council  authorized the development permit.

It has been disused for some time and was the site of the former St Paul’s United church at 3,131 Lakeshore Rd, in the Pandosy urban centre.

The buildings going there will be modest in height: two single-storey commercial buildings and one three-storey commercial building, with 81 vehicle parking stalls, 31 bicycle parking stalls, and extensive landscaping.

City staff reported the developer had the option to apply to build up to eight storeys in height, as is the case in the surrounding area, but had chosen to get on with turning the lot into use quickly and settled on the three low-rise commercial building concept.
