Vernon Winter Carnival wraps up with final events this weekend

The annual winter festival celebrations wrap up with a the final events over the weekend.

The Vernon Winter Carnival runs through Feb. 15, with final events including the Family Movie Night screening of Cool Runnings and the Solid Gold Disco Party Friday evening.

Saturday will see a number of events including the Polar Bear Market and Swim, JCI Vernon Rockstars Curling, and the 15th Winter Carnival Blues Fest.

The 53rd annual Coca-Cola Classic PeeWee Hockey Tournament also runs Friday through Sunday.
