Water Quality Advisory issued for some properties in the Rise

Feb 12, 2026 | 12:17 PM

A precautionary Water Quality Advisory was issued for a few properties in the Rise neighbourhood Thursday morning.

Greater Vernon Water said a water main break led to a loss of pressure in the system and the advisory was being issued for addresses between 104 to 108 Silverstage Terrance, and for 300 to 312 Silversage Bluff Lane.

People in the affected are encouraged to bring their tap water to a rolling boil for a full minute before drinking it, or using it to make food or drink, including ice and baby formula, or brushing teeth.

The water main break may result in affected properties having discoloured water or air in the taps. In those cases, people should run cold water until it turns clear, with Greater Vernon Water stating its best to do this using an outdoor tap.
