Developer welcomes public hearing on Kelowna Springs

Feb 11, 2026 | 6:00 AM

The developer behind the industrial park proposed for the Kelowna Springs Golf Course lands has thanked city council for their consideration.

Denciti Corp was speaking about a planned public hearing that is set for next month before council can consider a rezoning request that could forever change those lands. Half will remain a 9-hole golf course after a land swap deal announced with the City late last year.

The company said it has spent two years getting community input to shape their industrial park concept, and the public hearing will also be the forum to help address any concerns.

In a statement, CEO Garry Fawley said, in part, the public hearing will also be the forum to help address any misinformation that is circulating online.

“The proposal provides significant recreation and economic benefits to the community and represents the only option to keep golf at this property,” he said.

“Alongside the 9-hole golf course and the addition of a year-round pickleball facility, the industrial business park is expected to create up to 700 local jobs, generate approximately $4 million in Development Cost Charges, and contribute $1 million in additional annual tax revenue for the City of Kelowna – supporting long-term economic growth for the community as a whole.”
