Local police have been keeping a close watch on some repeat offenders.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said in its report on police activities during the fourth quarter of 2025 that there were 11 prolific offenders living within the jurisdiction.

“Of those [individuals], four are currently in custody and seven are not in custody,” the report read.

“Of the seven not in custody, three reside in, or are known to frequent, the City of Vernon, two reside in the North Rural, and two are in other communities.”

Police added there were six repeat violent offenders in the area, including four who were within custody as of time of publication and two people who lived within Vernon.
