Gaming Grants supporting sports, arts, PACS in Vernon, Okanagan

Local organizations are getting a financial boost through the Community Gaming Grants.

The program is providing a combined more than $882,000 to 44 Vernon- and Coldstream-based sports, arts and culture, Parent Advisory Councils, and other community groups through the 2025 intake process.

The province did not outline for what purpose the groups intended to use their Gaming Grants.

The local organizations were among more than 25,000 not-for-profit organizations benefiting from an investment of over $53-million dollar though the Community Gaming Grants program. These also build off the grants distributed through the program earlier in 2025.

“Investing in programs that enhance safety, encourage sports participation, protect our environment and enrich students’ school experiences strengthen our communities and supports the well-being of British Columbians,” Anne Kang, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, stated.

“These grants help ensure people of all ages can access opportunities that support learning, well-being and community connection.”
