Two past Vernon Vipers teams are being recognized for their incredible performances.

The B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame said it would be inducting the ’08-’09 and the ’09-’10 Vernon Vipers squad.

In the 2008-2009 regular season the Vipers finished the year with a record of 42-14-1-3, and won both the BCHL and the RBC Cup national championships.

The Vipers also earned both those titles in 2009-2010, after finished the regular season with a record of 51-6-0-3.

Mark Ferner, who coached the Vipers during those years, said it was “a tremendous honour” to have the both teams inducted, according to the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Vipers were inducted alongside Andrew Ladd, Travis Green, Josh Gorges, Malcolm Ashford, and Daryl “Razor” Reaugh.
