West Kelowna seeks public input on community safety and well-being plan

Jan 15, 2026 | 11:27 AM

Residents of West Kelowna are being asked to provide feedback on the city’s first Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.

City officials have identified six key focus areas, including housing, mental health and substance use, public safety, support for children, youth, families and seniors, equity and reconciliation, and coordination of social services. The goal is to develop strategies that reflect the needs of the community and guide long-term actions to improve safety and well-being.

Residents, local businesses, and community organizations can review the initial findings and submit feedback online until Feb. 6 th.

City leaders say public input will play a critical role in shaping policies and initiatives that create a safer, more inclusive, and connected community.
