Lake Country RCMP arrest two in connection with Kelowna break-ins
The Lake Country RCMP say two men are in custody after being linked to a series of break and enters at Kelowna businesses.
Police responded at about 3 a.m. Sunday to a report of a break and enter in progress at a business on the 11,000 block of Oceola Road. Officers quickly contained the area, and when the two male suspects exited the building carrying tools commonly used in break-ins, they were arrested without incident.
Investigators say a search of the suspects recovered property and Canadian currency belonging to the business, as well as evidence linking the men to other break and enters in Kelowna.
“This arrest demonstrates the effectiveness of collaboration between our RCMP detachments and the importance of swift police response,” said Staff Sgt. Jon Collins, Lake Country RCMP detachment commander.
