Jan 12, 2026 | 11:34 AM

Two people were arrested in connection with a break and enter at a Vernon business early Saturday morning.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said the owner of a business received a notification of an alarm being tripped at their business, located in the 1200-block of Kalamalka Lake Road, at around 5:30 a.m. Jan. 11 after an alarm was tripped.

The owner received the notification of the alarm and arrived on the scene where they found the exterior door was broken and two people were inside the building.

The suspects exited the building and took off on foot, and police were called.

The RCMP said officers tracked the suspects to Polson Park, and the pair tried to flee again, but they were chased down and arrested without further incident.

The pair, a 48-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, both from Vernon, remained in custody Monday morning pending a court appearance.
