Missing hiker found dead in Lake Country area

A tragic outcome to the search for a hiker in the High Rim Trail Post area in Lake Country.

Police confirm they were found dead Sunday night.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR), had started their search around 9 p.m.

The body of the person was found just before 11 p.m.

Crews had used ground, K9, UTV, snowmobile, and drone teams in their search with mutual aid from Vernon Search and Rescue.

Kelowna RCMP said there was no criminality involved.
