Canada’s Naomi Urness captures gold in women’s freeski big air at World Cup

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Canadian freestyle skier Naomi Urness struck gold in women’s big air World Cup competition on Saturday.
The Mont-Tremblant, Que., native had a score of 156.25.
Ukraine’s Kateryna Kotsar (152.50) and China’s Yang Ruyi (148.50) rounded out the podium.
Urness finished third in Thursday’s qualifying with 80.50.
