SilverStar opening date pushed back, again

The local ski hill will not be opening this weekend.

SilverStar Mountain Resort had planned to open it’s alpine runs on November 28, but pushed the opening back to December 5.

SilverStar said Wednesday, Dec. 3, that it would be pushing the opening back again due to poor snow conditions.

The resort did not say when it planned to open for the ski season, saying only that “we will be assessing conditions daily and will open the Alpine as soon as we can.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, SilverStar had 15 of its 42 cross country trails, nine of it 19 snowshoe trails, and six of its 12 fatbike trails open.
