Downtown Kelowna Winter Street Market and tree light up returns Saturday

The Downtown Kelowna Winter Street Market and Light Up returns this Saturday, bringing festive activities to the heart of the city.

The event runs from 12 to 6 p.m., with the annual tree lighting scheduled for 5 p.m.

But it does mean closures.

To accommodate the celebration, Water Street between Queensway and Doyle Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5:30 a.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m. A portion of the City Hall parking lot will also be blocked, while roundabouts at Queensway and Doyle Avenue remain open throughout the day.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternative parking and check availability at Library Plaza Parkade, Memorial Parkade, and Chapman Parkade.
