Major conference centre and hotel complex proposed for Kelowna

Is it time for Kelowna to have a state of the art large national conference centre?

That’s the vision for a proposed 300 room upscale hotel and 80-thousand foot centre on the land at 2041 Harvey Avenue, where the New Life Church is currently located.

Developer Al Hildebrandt has unveiled his broad plans to potential investors, the community and stakeholders, saying the land parcel is the only easily accessible location that can support such a project.

With support of local, provincial, and federal partners, he says it’s about creating something enduring that contributes to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Kelowna.
