Water main maintenance to force a temporary closure of the Pointe Sage walkway

The District of Coldstream is undertaking a critical infrastructure project that will impact one of the local walking paths.

The district said it would be closing the Point Sage Crescent walkway, located above the Rail Trail, to accommodate necessary maintenance to a water main.

The closure will take effect Wednesday, Oct. 8, and be in place until Friday, Nov. 7, barring any unforseen complications or delays.

The District of Coldstream said the work was part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve critical infrastructure in the community, adding the closure was needed in order to ensure public safety.

There will be fencing and signage installed around the walkway during the course of the work and the district asked that people respect the barriers and posted instructions.
