Boucherie Road to close Wednesday evening for seasonal maintenance

Boucherie Road will be closed Wednesday evening for seasonal maintenance, impacting motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

The full closure will be in effect from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. between Hayman and Hudson roads. Crews will be winterizing irrigation systems, removing hanging baskets, cleaning up boulevards and washing and sweeping the street.

Drivers are advised to use detour routes along Highway 97 and Hudson Road or Hayman Road and Thacker Drive. Access will be maintained for residents living in the immediate area, buses, transit users and emergency vehicles.

City officials are reminding road users to follow traffic control signs and personnel, slow down and move over for crews, and observe posted speed limits in and around work zones.
