Second chance for lump sum payment on Rose Valley plant

West Kelowna residents who fall within the new Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant area have a second chance to pay a lump sum for the big facility rather than incur long term interest payments.

A one-off payment of $2,750 can be made by October 1.

Otherwise, the other option is to start paying $181 per year for 25 years starting in May next year.

The city of West Kelowna has previously admitted they did not to do a good job of communicating the repayment situation to residents.
